Banking on the Future Scholarship

Mechanics Savings is pleased to continue its long-standing commitment to provide Banking on the Future scholarships to seniors graduating from the following high schools:
  • Edward Little
  • Lewiston
  • Saint Dominic
  • Leavitt
  • Lisbon
  • Oak Hill
  • Poland
  • Gray/New Gloucester
  • Brunswick
  • Mt. Ararat
  • Windham
Scholarship recipients are chosen by the guidance department at their high school and selected based on their accomplishments in and out of the classroom and their service to others. Students must demonstrate: good moral character, service to school, community and/or family or involvement in extracurricular activities; and academic success.
The scholarship application can be:
(1) Retrieved from the guidance office at select high schools - see list above.
(2) Picked up at your local Mechanics Savings branch.

The application process begins on January 1 and typically ends mid April. Deadlines vary by high school. Please visit your high school guidance department to learn more about your school's scholarship application process and deadline.
